Manitoba Health Coalition Provincial Director Thomas Linner said today:

"The Manitoba Health Coalition is pleased to see concrete action on universal pharmacare and dental care in Canada. Too many Manitobans and Canadians are currently forced to forego necessary medication or dental procedures due to their high cost, worsening health outcomes and entrenching economic inequality.

Today's agreement will help families to access medical care they would not otherwise have been able to afford. This will make a big difference and provide stability in this time of pandemic and war, with rising inflation and social unrest. It will save lives.

The Manitoba Health Coalition will work with our partners in Manitoba, health coalitions and allies across Canada and concerned citizens everywhere to ensure that the details of this agreement are fulfilled in a robust and timely manner."
